Andy Benzo is a highly skilled legal and language expert with over 35 years of experience in English-Spanish translation. She holds degrees in Law and Translation from Argentina. She has been a member of the American Translators Association (ATA) since 1990 and is ATA-certified. She has held several leadership roles throughout her career, including Chair of the Divisions Committee and Governance and Communications Committee. Currently, she serves as the President-Elect of the ATA. Andy is enthusiastic about standards and collaborates in language development, serving on ASTM and ISO committees. She has also taught legal translation at UCSD and is a regular speaker on topics such as U.S. Law and Civil Law. Her passions include Law, Language, and Technology, and she is committed to excellence.

He has also served three times on the GALA Board and is the US ANSI expert representative for ISO. She is a digital publications editor and a legal copyeditor. With a background in Modern Literature, Design, and Journalism, she holds a postgraduate degree in Creative Ventures Management (UNC) and a diploma in Arts and Culture Management (Fundación Graduados UNC).

With over twenty years of experience in text correction, editing, and institutional communication for companies and academic organizations, she has worked for institutions such as Actualidad Jurídica, Alveroni Ediciones, and several universities like UNC, UNTREF, and US21. She has led creative projects for e-Literalia and Verba Volant, Scripta Manent.

Currently, she coordinates projects at CAL, Correctología y Asesoramiento Lingüístico, and VaCo Digital Publications and Legal Copyediting. She also works as a language consultant for the Plain Language Program at the City of Buenos Aires' Legal and Technical Secretariat, contributing to projects like CLAPPI. Her focus is on integrating digital tools and AI into text correction, including fine-tuning generative models and developing datasets for training.
